Bio Farma, Trusted To Host an Islamic Countries Vaccine Production Workshop

BANDUNG, November 2016: Bio Farma, a state owned enterprise as an Indonesian Vaccine Producer has been trusted by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to host workshop on Vaccine Management, to be held on the 3rd floor of Bio Farma’s Exhibition Room, in Bandung on November 15th to 18th 2016.

This workshop will be attended by participants from Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries, which have had the vaccine industry and partnering countries who are preparing to make a vaccine for their nations.

Currently there are more than 10 countries who have already declared their presence, which include Pakistan, Turkey, Tunisia, Malaysia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Bangladesh, as well as world institution, such as World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, Islamic Development Bank (IDB), statistical, Economic, and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) centered in Turkey and Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation (GAVI) headquarters in Geneva.

Bio Farma’s Corporate Secretary, M. Rahman Rustan stated Indonesia trusted  to host the Islamic Countries Vaccine production Workshop. This refers to the meeting of OIC Health Minister in Istanbul, Turkey on November 2015.

Strengthened South-South and Triangular Cooperation Through International Comprehensive Right-based Family Planning Training

As many as 7 participants have joined the International Comprehensive Right-based Family Planning Training 2016. The participants from 3 countries, including Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Timor Leste have been  experienced comprehensive of family planning lesson for 18 days. This training program held by the Government of Indonesia (GoI) and supported by the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) based on the Partnership Agreement between the GoI and UNFPA.  The program is also recognized as a part of UNFPA Country Strategy in Indonesia in which the Country Program Action Plan 2016 to 2020 signed by both parties on 29 March 2016.

Opening Ceremony of the Capacity Building Program on Enhanching The Development of Small and Medium Industry

The Government of Indonesia in collaboration with the Colombo Plan has organized a training course for Colombo Plan member states, namely “Capacity Building Program on Enhanching The Development of Small and Medium Industry” from 24 to  28 October 2016 in Bali. This program is implemented by Directorate General of Small and Medium Industry of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. There are 19 participants who joined the course from 13 Colombo Plan member states: Bhutan, Bangladesh, Fiji, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Papua Nugini, Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, Maldives, as well as Indonesia.
